Despite the incredibly hot days, the Alpena Art Festival was a really good show for me. It’s a lot farther north than I usually go, but I thought I’d give it a shot. The people were great, met some new friends, and even picked up new fans! The Ramada up there is nicer than I expected, and Biggby’s coffee saved the day! I love their frozen hot chocolate. Great show, thanks, guys!

Art on the Beach a success!
Even with cold rain coming slowing down both days my second venture to Oscoda, Michigan ended up working out, thanks to the fans! Not only that, there were plenty of people buying my books for the first time! I’ll be back next year for sure! Thanks to everyone up north for making this fun!

Tawas Art Festival a success!
It was an extremely good show at the Tawas Art Festival over Memorial Day weekend! Not only did the new books, Journal of an Outlaw and Moonhouse do extremely well, but the new game, The Forbidden Treasure of Miftenmad sold out! Wow! Thank you to all those who attended and made this a really good show for me. You’re the best!

Clarkston High School Holiday Craft Festival Dec. 2-3, 2017
This show turned out to be one of the best ones of the year for me. The turnout was huge, and the variety of cool items at the show just couldn’t be beaten. I’ll be doing more of my appearances there in the future.

Birch Run 5th Annual High School Arts and Craft Fair
This little gem really took me by surprise. The people running it did a great job at a fair price. Wow did they bring in the crowd! I sold more copies of the Outlaw than almost any other show this year! This one is a keeper, I already bought my booth for next year!

Caseville Art and Craft Show
At first I went to the wrong location and set up my gear, then I found out I had to move to another location. So after loading up and unloading again I was finally able to get down to business. To my surprise, this venue turned out to be a real blessing! Even though it appeared to be smaller it was packed full of happy shoppers! I sold lot’s of books and met a cool kid named Galen. I will be returning to this show next year, for sure!

Dhiels Apple Cider Festival
While the other crafters and the other owners were nice, the low turnout really hurt this show, plus the fact there was a constant swarm of yellow-jackets around us.

Harrisville Harmony Weekend
Another fantastic show at the Harrisville, Michigan arts and crafts show! To top it off, I won first place in their Arts category! This has been a favorite show of mine for years and I want to say thanks to all the people who not only run the show, but to the fans who show up to see me!

Sparta Celtic Festival
What was once a top show was hurt by the decision to move vendors/crafters away from the main area. Being Irish I love this event, but moving us away from the area killed my sales. Hardly anyone from the main event came over to see us and my sales plummeted. Hopefully, the people who run this event will put us back with the people next year. If not, then it will be time to move on. The thing that upsets me the most about this event is that they never told us ahead of time they were doing this move. I would have backed out immediately if I had known.…
