Journal of an Awful Good Paladin Book 2

Journal of an Awful Good Paladin: Book 2 is the sequel to my popular series set in the mythical comedy land called the Unremembered Realms. There are 100 more entries showcasing Nimbus “Stormcloud” Slumberdim and his crew of heroes. As a bonus, you’ll see special appearances by the other characters of my other book series, Journal of an Outlaw, and Journal of a Lounge Lizardman.

The book is 200 pages long and contains 100 journal entries. The short, journal entry style, of my books has been very popular and is great for short reading sessions. Although I write my books for adults, I also write cleanly so people of all ages can read them. I have fans from ages 8 to 80+, and people from all walks of life have enjoyed my series.

My books have been described as a mix of Monty Python and Dungeons & Dragons. I stay away from politics and religion, and write humor based on absurd, comical situations.

The paladin’s team consists of Kellepto, the elven rogue, Footpalm the Elflinger, who is a dwarven monk; Aiden, the Cleric; and Garrot, the Asphyxiator, who is a very gullible mage.

Here is a short sample entry from the Book:

Entry 80 of 100

There are those out there who say magic is better than strength, but I remember when this wasn’t true. My party and I were hired to bring some orc bandits to justice. We were instructed to travel a few miles north from Achincorn, and we would find a cave where they were rumored to be hiding. It was easy to find, so we entered it and had not gone far in when Kellepto cried out in pain! Aiden was on the spot, casting cure after cure, but it didn’t help. Garrot tried every trick in his spellbook, but nothing seemed to help her dire situation. Finally, she turned to me with a look of hope and determination.

“Help me, Nimbus,” she muttered through gritted teeth. “These new boots are killing my feet, and I can’t take it anymore!”

Footpalm grabbed under her shoulders while I used my great strength to pull on her new, trendy yet undersized boots. I would never say this to her face, but there’s no way her feet were even close to a size 7.

With everyone crying out, I heaved with all my might, and they finally popped off, sending me backward, crashing into a small group of orcs who had been alerted to our presence by all the noise. “Paladin crushed Minnowind! We surrender!”

Without knowing it, I had fallen on top of their notorious leader, killing him stone dead. When I stood up, I noticed an imprint of one of Kellepto’s boots on his face. “If you think getting crushed by one of her boots is bad,” Footpalm told the bewildered orcs, “you should get a load of their smell!”

“Ha ha,” Kellepto said, limping over and grabbing her boots. “Very funny.”

“Well, we were hired to get them to heel,” Garrot chuckled.

“Who says shoe size doesn’t matter,” Aiden laughed moments before a flying boot hit him on the head.
